Business strategies; Basic business activities, such as capacity planning, facility layout, and product development; Supply chain; Information technology.

Note: if you did not take basic courses in Industrial Engineering and/or Operations Management, thus not obtaining the above prerequisites, attending this course is not suitable for you.

Objectifs du cours

- understand the links among strategies at different levels;
- comprehend the development of different operations strategies;
- identify the issues to be addressed in the creation and implementation of operations strategies;
- develop appropriate strategies to improve company’s performance.

• Fundamentals in operations strategies.
• Types of operations strategies, including capacity, facility, supply chain, vertical integration, process technology, information technology, and product development strategies.
• The creation and implementation of operations strategies.
• Operations strategy process.
