Pré requis

Students enrolled in this course should have taken introductory courses in Operations Management or have basic knowledge of operations acquired from professional experience or from an internship.

Objectifs du cours

At the end of the course the students will be able to:
- Be competent in the field of Warehouse Design and Operations, rigorous and committed to quality
- Apply the theory of warehouse design in the integrated supply chain to obtain firm competitiveness
- Contrast the key warehouse concepts in the context of the traditional supply chain model approach
- Distinguish between different types of warehousing strategies
- Identify and understand the logistics and supply trade-offs associated with warehouse operations
- Recognise the consequences of failing to align warehouse operations to market requirements
- Demonstrate a grasp of integration in sustainable warehouse design and operations
- Feel confident with warehouse operations for managing customers, materials and information
