Recommended preliminary skills: basic knowledge of microeconomic analysis and mathematics for economists
Objectifs du cours
At the end of the course the student should be able to :
- Understand and explain key economic concepts as they relate to managerial decision making
- Formulate, intepret and analyze management questions using a formal economic framework
- Apply the analytical framework to provide quantitative support for managerial decision making
- Develop and defend a project that considers managerial decision making in a global economic environment
Contenu du cours
The first part of the course comprises the basics of managerial economics, including:
- demand, production and market structures
- pricing, tactics and strategic interaction
The second part deals with advanced topics in managerial economics. This part covers advanced pricing techniques, auction mechanisms, information technology and technological change.

2) a group assignment with peer assessment on a selected advanced topic in managerial economics,
