Pré requis
The prerequisites for this course are as follows:
(1) The students must have acquired background knowledge of industrial engineering and/or production/operations management. (2) The students must have sufficient knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and probability distribution.
Objectifs du cours
- Design processes to serve customers in a timely fashion while maintaining high productivity,
- Understand the role of demand forecasting and generate forecasts using suitable forecasting techniques,
- Understand and further select suitable quantitative models to control processes such as high product quality can be maintained, and
- Understand the reasons for queues often seen in business processes and develop quantitative approaches to reduce queues.
