Awareness of and interest for the legal dimension of international trade and investment
Fluency in English (and basic knowledge of legal English, or willingness to learn it during the course);
Awareness of and interest for world international relations and geopolitics
Prior attendance to the course of principles of public international law is highly recommended

Objectifs du cours

Grasp the basic notion and concepts of international econonomic law
Comprehend the legal dimension of international trade and investment
Be aware of the international institutions governing international trade and investment
Understand the basic traits of their functioning: rule-making, decision-making, appointment processes, etc.
Understand the basic principles of international trade law
Understand the basic principles of international investment law
Appreciate the difference (under a managerial perspective) between the dispute-settlement process of trade and investment
Understand the potential relevance for a company manager of scope and activity of these disciplines
