Pré requis
The course builds up on knowledge acquired in a basic course of operations management. Also, we want to mention that extensive use of Excel is done to take decisions in supply chain.
Objectifs du cours
At the end of the course, the student should be able to :
The course objective is to cover the supply chain strategy and concepts and to give students a solid understanding of the analytical tools necessary to solve the supply chain problems. As a result, the goals and objectives are as follows:
1. Describe how a company achieves strategic fit between its supply chain strategy and its competitive strategy
2. Identify the major drivers of supply chain performance, understand how they are related and how they impact the performance of the company
3. Understand the trade-offs between different SC networks
4. Apply the concepts to improve supply chain performance
5. Analyze a supply chain network (AACSB- LO3A), identify the problems and suggest improvement solutions focusing on the key drivers of the supply chain (AACSB- LO5D)
6. Model a simple supply chain network as a Mixed integer programming problem and solve it (AACSB - LO5C)
7.Use efficiently decision trees to compute the NPV of different supply chain network alternatives (AACSB- LO5C)
8. Analyze global supply chain network design decisions in an uncertain environment (AACSB- LO7A)
To present and demonstrate their understanding of the material, students will have to present their work effectively in English (AACSB- LO1C). Students will also have to demonstrate their capability in composing constructive feedback (AACSB-LO4B)

100% attendance is expected. Due to the intense nature of this course, a minimum attendance (10 out of 12 sessions) will be strictly enforced.
