Prerequisites
Students enrolled in this course should have taken introductory courses in Information Systems & Operations Management or have basic knowledge of these areas acquired from professional experience or from an internship.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
- Analyse the theory and practice of conducting a business continuity and impact analysis using ISO 22301 international standard
- Identify and describe the methodology for completing a hazard vulnerability assessment
- Evaluate the role of emergency response in continuity planning
- Implement a business continuity plan that includes an analysis on training and awareness of the program
- Analyse the elements of effective crisis communications
- Identify and describe the process for coordinating with stakeholders.
