Prerequisites
Students who register for this course should be familiar with
1. basic calculus, statistics and probability theory;
2. financial derivatives such as forward and option contracts.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
-understand the international monetary system;
-understand the importance of multinational transactions;
-understand international monetary arrangements and balance of payments;
-understand foreign exchange exposure.
Course description
This course aims to provide students with knowledge of the international finance and skills of managing
financial assets in a global environment. The topics include multinational financial management;
international monetary system; international monetary arrangements; balance of payments; and foreign exchange exposure.
