Prerequisites
This subject will emphasize the active participation of students through discussion, presentations, collaborative exercises, and a workshop. The classes will be carried out in an active learning style thus students are expected to participate by discussing their own views.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:

• understand career management from an HRM perspective
• understand career development practices in companies
• understand emerging career development trends in HRM
• gain insights into their own career
Course description
This course provides an introduction to the field of career development. First, career development will be explained from a theoretical perspective. Next, career management practices in companies will be examined. Career planning practices will then be introduced. Finally, emerging career development trends in HRM will be discussed. This course offers practical and relevant knowledge for students planning to work in an HRM environment.
