Organisational Behaviour, Human Resource Management.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student should be able to :
Understand the links between employee performance, team performance and organisational performance
Evaluate and assess performance management systems
Assess the different tools used to promote and measure employee performance
Critically identify which tools are relevant to specific situations/ problems of poor performance
Formulate recommendations in specific contexts to optimize current performance management approach.
Course description
This course aims to provide students with a holistic understanding of employee performance management and opportunities for practice of and reflection on tools and techniques to track, monitor and communicate about the performance of employees. By experiencing a simulated work environement, students will become aware that strategic organisational priorities should be aligned with employee performance systems. Additionally, they will be able to assess which of these practices enhance organisational performance and make managerial recommendations accordingly.
