Statistics & Probability distributions. Note: if you do not have sufficient knowledge on Statistics and Probability distributions, attending this course is not suitable for you.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, the students are able to
- understand the types and functions of inventories;
- describe the impact of demand forecasting and aggregate planning on inventory management;
- apply demand forecasting and aggregate planning methods in different problem contexts;
- comprehend a number of inventory models;
- identify and apply appropriate inventory models to solve specific problems;
- comprehend JIT inventory systems and VMI;
- describe the essential elements contributing to successful JIT inventory systems and VMI.
