Learning outcomes

Master the basic skills needed to understand the concept of supply chain.
Get to know the vocabulary of supply chain and logistics.
Understand the issues of the supply chain.

Course description

Module 1

Supply Chain: definition, mapping, flow, key processes (SCOR), system and process approaches, cross-cutting and interrelationships, supply chain objectives and issues

Supply Chain Management: definitions, strategic, tactical and operational components, CMS missions, MCS issues and issues, value creation

Transversality and interrelationships: where and with whom? How? The system and process approach

The information flow and IS tools: needs, role, management, tools


Module 2
Demand planning: approach in a VUCA environment, objectives and tools (S-Op, CPFR, DDMRP, SRM, CRM)
Performance management and management (What? How? Why?) : waste, value creation, indicators, dashboards, internal and external customer surveys


Module 3
Case studies (group) with support: Zara, Starbucks, Louis Vuitton, Walmart, Ikea, Indochino
