Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
- Understand how to design and implement a strategy for different kinds of markets;
- Improve the capability to interpret and forecast market situations and financial results and translate them into goal-oriented decisions;
- Learn to recognize interactions among companies and external stakeholders in a complex and interrelated environment;
- Analyze problems, come up with solutions, and take decisions in a business context characterized by change (AACSB).
Course description
In this business game, student teams develop and execute strategies for their simulated company operating in different markets with specific customer behavior, cost structures, and currency fluctuations. They are required, through several rounds of the game, to make operational decisions and overcome various business challenges. Key decisions relate to, amongst other things, market analysis and forecasting, production planning, R&D staffing, marketing, CSR, and financial decisions.
